MEDTRONIC COVIDIEN POLYSORB SUTURE

Polysorb suture is a braided, synthetic, absorbable suture indicated for soft tissue approximation and ligation. It is known for its excellent handling, knot security, and predictable absorption profile.
Structure: Braided from multifilament fibers, making the suture flexible and easy to knot.
Composition: Made from Lactomer (a copolymer of glycolide and lactide), which is a type of synthetic polyester.
Coating: Coated with a mixture of caprolactone/glycolide copolymer and calcium stearoyl lactylate, allowing the suture to pass through tissue more smoothly and minimizing friction.
